Mohel recommendation?
I've spent most of the day calling mohels. DH and I don't know the baby's sex, but since I'm due in just a couple of weeks, I decided to be prepared just in case. I'm shocked by how much they charge (most have been in the $800-$900 range). Is this typical? Can anyone recommend someone who would be willing to travel to NJ (we are planning to have the bris at a relative's home)?

Re: Mohel recommendation?
$800-900 is the typical price I've come across for Mohels to do a single bris.
If you have a baby boy, you just call the mohel after the baby is born. Any of the mohels in the area are usually willing to travel to NJ, even if they're from Westchester, LI or Manhattan. If you want someone more local, there are plenty of Mohels from NJ. Have you asked the rabbi of the relative in NJ for recommendations?

This - We found the same results when we were looking for Mohels almost 2 years ago.

Mohel recommendation?
Sorry for crashing
We used the Royal Mohel (.com, i believe) - he was AMAZING. We really liked him and would absolutely use him again if we have anymore boys. He charged us $850 - in my opinion, it was totally worth it.
ETA: you can also ask your pediatrician for any recommendations. And if that person is booked already, you can just ask them for recommendations too That's how we found this guy
