Bahamas Port Excursions
Any suggestions on what we should do, other than what is offered by the cruise ship? Any reliable, reputable travel agent or websites?

Check out Cruise Critic's Ports of Calls page. I'm assuming you're going to Nassau? I've heard of many people getting day passes through the Sheraton and using their facilities and beach. I've also heard of people booking a room at the hotel next to Atlantis and that comes with passes to use Atlantis' facilities since it's cheaper- just make sure you check out before you leave! We did Atlantis through the cruiseline on our last cruise and I was very disappointed for the price. I think it cost us $300 for the 2 of us to go for the day and it involved taking an almost hour long tour of the hotel. I felt like they were trying to sell everyone on vacationing there. I'm not big on water slides so for me it was a waste. I spent pretty much the entire time on the lazy river which was really fun but not worth $300!!
The time before that, we booked a day pass to Beaches - also through the cruiseline. That included transportation, food, and use of their facilities - beach and pools. It was ok.
ETA: British Colonial Hilton is another place you can do a day pass.

Just be careful friends went to Atlantis for the day on their cruise and found returning stressful bc the traffic was horrendous coming back to the ship that they barely made it back in time and some tours were late. I have heard this a few times.

Barefoot sunset sailing (if you don't have kids). You can do it if you have kids...but they'd probably be bored.
So so so beautiful and fun.

Re: Bahamas Port Excursions
Thanks guys, I would love to do Atlantis but I will be with my inlaws and they are much older, so they can't really do much.
The barefoot cruise sounds awesome since they can't really walk a lot.
And I will check out cruise critc, thank you!!
