Grieving Taxes
Need a recommendation in Nassau. I tried one place and they didn't do anything. They are looking for a new application when I haven't even heard anything on my last application. Thanks.

Re: Grieving Taxes
Just because you didn't hear about the 2013/14 tax year yet, doesn't mean they didn't do anything. Nassau County has a complicated assessment calendar and quite frankly they are overwhelmed with the fallout from Sandy. The authorization they are requesting from you now is for the 2014/15 assessment year. The tentative 2014/15 assessment roll was published on 1/2/13. It will become a final roll on 3/1/13. In a normal year, you would have to file your 2014/15 grievance on or before 1/31/13. Due to the storm, Nassau is extending the deadline to 3/1/13.
