Toddler/Baby Tuxedos
I have my brother's wedding coming up in April, I'm the matron of honor and I would love for my boys to wear tuxedos (they are 3 1/2 and the baby will be 1 at the time). Where is a good place to get them tuxedos? And do you think a shorts tuxedo is cute, or go with the long pants? Maybe the shorts for the baby?

it might be to cold for shorts. Especially with hoe late this winter cold got started. Not sure tho.
I think it's also cheaper to buy them then rent them. Tri county flea market usually has a booth and they are resonable

I could've written this word for word. I'm a matron of honor in my SIL's wedding. My 3.5 yr old and my 1 yr old will be 21 months in April for the wedding. They are both ring bearers. Although I fear my 1 yr old that day. Lol. He has a mind of his own.
Anyway, did some research already with my SIL. It's cheaper to buy tuxes. I looked into Mens Wearhouse. For pretty much everything but shoes it's about $70. Depends on how big your 3 yr old is though bc they go up to 3T. They may run big. I was told to come there in March for the April wedding bc of their ages.
They always have the boy's tuxes in.
I also looked at shoes at Payless. They were inexpensive.

That is so funny....we are in the same boat. What is the date of the wedding? I wish that the boys were ring bearers but no such luck : ( Someone suggested seersucker but I think that might be too summery?

Whatever the Flea Market in East Meadow is called these days - there is a vendor in the middle toward the back who has ADORABLE stuff at reasonable prices - She is an older Asian woman.
I bought Colin a 5 piece black tux - full tie (I don't like bow ties) AND black patent shoes for like, $65 - it was decent quality too -
I had bought him a similar get up for my sister's Wedding when he was about 8 months from another vendor, in the corner who sells a lot of wedding stuff - but that one was HORRIBLE quality and $$$ -
Sean's tuxes had to be rented for both ocassions b/c they wanted him to 'match' the groom - and I paid over $150 for each rental !!

we just got my 3 and 1 yr tuxes from Mens' Wearhouse back in October. it was buy one get one free!!!!! $70 a tux. so really it was 35 each
as for shoes they wore black converse chuck shoes

These are adorable and I love the converse idea! I'm obsessed with the boys in converses, they have them in so many colors : ) Thanks for the idea!
