Refinancing
Can someone walk me through this process?
We have a mortgage through wells fargo (4.5% rate, 30 year). I've been searching other banks for their rates and right now the lowest I found was NEFCU (3.375%, 30 year).
Where do you begin?
Do we just call up NEFCU and start asking questions?
What questions?
Would wells match the rates to keep us or they dont care?
What are the pros and cons of switching banks?

Refinancing
so we called nefcu to get some info and they said closing costs would be 4% of the loan and to lock in the rate would cost .75%
does this sound right?
