Re: American Airlines
Yes, to Florida a few months ago. Booked a flight there and back. NEVER AGAIN. I was miserable - between having seats 3 rows apart from DH (because now you have to PAY to get a window seat or to seat next to your partner! ) and the fact that our flight was delayed - and every seat was taken (I was in a middle seat between 2 very heavy set guys). I couldnt wait to get off that flight.
I will not fly AA ever again - I usually go for Jet Blue.

American has a great deal to Tampa...
I guess it is too good to be true...delayed flight is not worth it..
Thanks

Re: American Airlines
I usually fly Jetblue but if the prices are cheaper with AA then I book with them. I have never had any problems but I always book the earliest flight.

Re: American Airlines
We flew American to Costa Rica this summer. We had a layover in Miami on the way there and that flight was delayed, twice. The delays were minor, about an hour total. We didn't have any other issues. I've heard (after the fact) that Miami is a horrible airport though and many flights are delayed out of there.

American Airlines
I refuse to fly them unless absolutely necessary but, nowadays - most airlines suck so if you are getting a great deal - I'd go with it!

Re: American Airlines
Flew them last year to Maui. Had a layover in Dallas. Left Dallas on time. We were in the air about 3½ hours when the plane had a mechanical issue. Rather than chance flying over the Pacific, we had to turn around a bit and stop in LA. We were all taken off the plane and given food vouchers and told to report back in 2 hours.
We ended up being delayed about 3 hours. I was annoyed, but AA gave us both credits to our FF accounts which actually put us over the hump for free flights back to Hawaii!

Re: American Airlines
I despise American Airlines. Nasty crew and the seats are tight. I avoid them whenever possible, flying Delta or Jet Blue.

American Airlines
I just flew them recently as well as delta and united. Smallest seats ever on AA. I flew for business but given the opportunity I will try to avoid flying with them in the future.
