Long Island's Town of
How do you find out what town you are in? The house we are looking into is the border of Levittown/Bethpage, it's listed as Bethpage, but I know someone who lives a block away, also in Bethpage and they think they follow the Town of Hempstead garbage rules, as opposed to the town og Oyster Bay, which I believe Bethpage is. Is it just if you are in Bethpage, it's the town of Oyster Bay?

It depends on the part of Bethpage. I have family in Bethpage, in the Hahn Estates section, which is just north of Hempstead Turnpike, east of Wantagh Ave and west of Hicksville Rd. It's Island Trees SD. That is Town of Hempstead over there. Most of Bethpage is Town of Oyster Bay, though.

Thanks, it is Island Trees SD. I looked at mynassaucounty property, and checked the taxes, and it says "Town of Hempstead Taxes" so it is TOH, I was so hoping to get the TOOB parking permit for Hicksville!!! lol

I live in Island Trees and we just get the pass for Seaford/Wantagh. It's only $5.

I'll look into that, Hicksville is just so convenient! But right now I am paying $110 a month to park there, on top of the ridiculously expensive train ticket.
