When should I start...

Washing baby clothes. I'm 31w, but I received numerous bags of clothes from one of my friends (sizes 0-12). I will be putting them in a plastic bin once washed.

Thanks!!

I know DH thinks it's too early to think about this

We started washing clothes around 34 or 35w. It's totally up to you when you want to start getting things ready. At 31w you probably still have a little time, but it's also not too early. How's that for helpful? Chat Icon

As soon as the dresser is put together and you have hangers for the closet. Chat Icon

I'm only 17w but I agree with iluvmynutty...as soon as we get our furniture and hangers for the closet (most likely after my baby shower at 30w) I'll probably be washing clothes and putting them away. You never know when you will become uncomfortable or tired or when the baby will come so I'd rather be safe then sorry. I have OCD LOL!

If you have time do it now. Why wait. The bigger you get the more tired you will be. I say get it over with. They dont go bad. Enjoy!

I just pulled everything out of my bins. I am 32 weeks now, will probably start washing everything in the next 2-3 weeks. I am waiting only because the dresser isn't in yet and as soon as I wash everything I want to be able to put it right away.

When should I start...

We started washing around 32-33 weeks. I put the clothes in the drawers right away...but didn't put anything on the crib until I was 37 weeks.

We washed ours when I was in the hospital. I delivered at 37 weeks and were taken by surprise.

All I can say is you will always get it all done no matter how early or late you go.

I didn't wash any bigger sizes. I just stored the in a bin. I only washed NB. And 0-3 or 3 month clothing. I'll wash the rest as it gets closer to use.
