DH has a cold.... Worst timing ever!!!!

My DH has a cold and cough and we are doing our FET 5 days after ovulation (which should be within a week). Is there anything I can take now to avoid getting his cold? Will the RE even do a FET if I get it? Ugh!!!

I had the flu which turned into a cold for my FET and all I can take was Tylenol. They also said I had to be fever free 24 hours before transfer. OJ and Tylenol became my BFF!

I have to be honest that airborne has been our saving grace! DH takes it whenever he thinks he is getting a cold. He takes it every 4 hours for a day or two and he has not gotten really sick in years!!!!
Unfortunately I was advised that I could not take it once pregnant but I took it a few times for a few days before my ET just to be proactive.

Emergen C is awesome. You can buy it at the drugstore. I have him take that and drink OJ. Lots of rest and water. Good Luck

I've heard really good things about airborne and emergen c, zinc lozenges too. When my DH gets sick I just have him purel all day, don't kiss on the mouth, and (knock on wood) I haven't gotten sick. Lots of vitamins and oj for you. Hope your DH feels better and you are cold free :)

Thanks, girls. I picked up some zicam for him to take (and I even took some last night). In the meantime, I'm going to pick up some emergen-c.
