Attain IVF?

Has anyone ever heard of this program? Is it a cost effective program or do they perform the procedure differently? My friend just mentioned it to me and I am looking it up but you ladies always have wonderful information! Thanks!

Re: Attain IVF?

I did the attain program at NSUH in Feb 2011. Essentially you pay a flat fee that is based on age....i think we paid around 20,000 for attain while one ivf cycle without doing attain was about $14,000. That fee covers 3 fresh cycles... I cant remember if FETs are included. If you conceive on your first ivf cycle, than you paid more for that particular cycle but you are pregnant. However, If you do not bring your baby home by you 3rd cycle, than you get a certain percentage of th $20,000 back. For us it was very worth it. I was lucky to conceive my DD after my 1st cycle at NSUH (although i had one ivf and 2fets prior with a different RE), so we paid more but would do the same again if we needed in the future. The idea of getting $ back in the end if it didn't work out helped ease much of my anxiety...well atleast the financial part of the anxiety. Also, procedures were exactly the same as non-attain....tailored and indivdualized. Let me know if you have any other ???. Good Luck!!!

One of the LI IVF staff informed me of a similar program where you pay a flat fee and they will continue to transfer 1 embryo until you achieve live birth.
Not sure about the particulars or how it works but it is worth looking into.

Re: Attain IVF?

We're doing the Attain program with Dr. Mullin at NSUH. It's basically an insurance and there are 2 different types: The Multi-cycle plan and the Refund Plan.

The multi-cycle plan allows you up to 2 fresh and 2 frozen cycles until you have a 'take home baby' at a flat fee ($20,450.) So as the other poster said, if you get pregnant on your first cycle you ended up paying more than if you would have just paid for one round of IVF (somewhere around $15,000.) Also, there is no refund if none of your cycles work.

The refund plan is similar but more expensive. I believe it's 2 fresh and 3 frozen cycles and if you don't have a successful pregnancy than you get a partial refund. I think it pays 90% back but don't quote me on that. This plan was around $26,000.

We're doing the multi-cycle plan.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I have my brochures and paperwork at home. Chat Icon

Attain IVF?

Do they offer payment plans or must you pay the entire cost up front?

You have to pay the total amount up front.

They do have a loan that you can apply for and pay off monthly - that's what DH and I are doing. It's a fixed interest rate that varies based on how many years you are going to be paying it off.
