Dutch Wonderland

DH and I would like to take our son who will be 28 months to Dutch wonderland this summer with another family.

Question is do you think it is age appropriate for my son who will be 28 months?

Where are some good places to stay there?

TIA

Re: Dutch Wonderland

That's a great age. We go every year, and mine were 2 & 3 last year and both loved it!

We usually stay at a Hilton on Marriot because I have rewards points from the travel I have to do at work.

Re: Dutch Wonderland

That is the perfect age.
And you MUST stay at Eden Resort. The kids pool/spray park is amazing and made our trip!
The adult pool area is pretty darn nice too!

Yes!!! Perfect! We have gone the past 2 years and will be going again this year! Last year we stayed at the Fulton Steamboat Inn and we loved it there! I highyl recommend! Everyone loves Eden - we have never stayed there, but the Steamboat was great and very reasonably priced!

Re: Dutch Wonderland

It is a great age. I had my DD wear a baseball hat with the little button thing at the top to ensure she could ride all of the rides.

Re: Dutch Wonderland

We took DS at 32 months and he absolutely LOVED it!!! I think that's probably a good age. At 32 months (he's 90th %ile for height) he was able to go on about 90% of the rides and most of them by himself. He's quite the ride/roller coaster fanChat Icon

I think you will have a great time. We loved it and will be taking DS again this summer.

We stayed at the Best Western Eden which was great. Some people also recommend the Fulton Steam Boat (something like that).

Re: Dutch Wonderland

we went this past summer and dd was 26m.
we stayed at both the steamboat and eden and i really liked both.
the steamboats price was great, they had a duck pond and a really nice playground. It was convenient to the park and shopping. We also had a great breakfast there.
Than we stayed at Eden and dd loved the kids water section, a few mornings we even had the place to ourselves. I ts a little bit of a drive to the park. I didnt like the section of the hotel we stayed in. It was far from the door and pool area. The price was double the steamboat.
The water park at the hotel makes it worth it though.
Dutch wonderland also has a really nice water park!

Re: Dutch Wonderland

Perfect age to go. I highly recommend Eden resort. With a child that age, you'll be able to take full advantage of the adorable spray park/pool and regular park they have there. It's a really great hotel.
