After size 12 months comes what?
18 - 24 months?
After that comes 2T ?

Don't feel stupid, I asked the same question last year.
It was explained to be that 24 months and 2T are very similar, if not the same size. 2T may be a bit longer, but not by much.
So, to answer tour question, from 12 months goes 18 months, then 24 months/2T and then 3T, then 4T, then 5T and then sizes starting at 6

Yes, I believe you are correct: 12-18 months is the same as 18 months and 18-24 months is the same as 24 months.

I definitely don't find 24 months and 2T to be the same. DD is very tall and barely wore 24 months for a few weeks. It was way too short. 2T is definitely much longer. IMO if your DC is tall, 24 months can be skipped.
I also find sizing to be completely different between brands. Target and Disney character clothing tend to run very small.

24 months also has room for diapers whereas 2T usually is cut for just underwear.

Sizing in every brand is sooo different. Carters goes from 12 to 18 to 24 months to 2T. while gap has 12-18 months, 18-24 months and 2T clothing. And with everything a 2T in one store is not the same as a 2T in other stores.
