Don't know if I should be I insulted or flattered

I'm 25w and a coworker asked another coworker if im sure I'm pregnant bc I'm not showing at all. Naked I have a bump but its really not noticeable. I laughed it off but this is like the 3rd person who has asked me. Then I get lectured that I must not be eating enough. I keep telling everyone that she's perfect and I'm fine but its getting annoying.

I'm exactly the same way! I'm taking it as flattery at this point.

I went in for a meeting today, and no one knew I was pregnant until I said something and I'm 28 weeks. It's amazing to me people still can't tell that I'm pregnant but the baby is measuring normal and is in the 50th percentile. Naked I do have a bump. The doctor says not to worry I'll get bigger before I know it.
I get told I'm not eating enough all the time, but everyone carries differently, and you eat what you can. I just brush it off and move on

I'm sorry people are annoying you....I have a bump, but depending on what I wear you can't tell I'm pregnant. I keep getting compliments on how well I'm carrying and how I must be doing somthing rightnot to be gaining weight!!! I'm sorry your work can't have the same comments and attitude.,.....

Just tell them you are one of those few lucky ones who carries beautifully Chat Icon

I think people mean it as a compliment , or can't hide the surprise because you carry small. But I understand how you would be annoyed, I was in your boat with both pregnancies, didn't really look pregnant until around 28 weeks , and even at 40 weeks I looked like I was about 5 mo pregnant. I was so fed up with people telling me how tiny I was , even though I knew they meant it as a compliment.
Then after I had my kids it was " OMG you just popped the baby out and back to your size" comments, it got soooo annoying! And believe me I know it sounds obnoxious of me to even post this but I think women who are or have been in my shoes will understand what I mean .

You still have plenty of time! I promise you will eventually get huge and uncomfy...and complain endlessly to your husband. Trust me, when you're at the end of your pregnancy, you will be happier that you're not as big!

Re: Don't know if I should be I insulted or flattered

In my first pregnancy a friend's mom found out I was pregnant very early on. She patted my belly and said she wonders how many there are in there. I did fertility treatments and had MASSIVE bloat.........

People are going to judge no matter what if you don't live up to their standards. Just ignore it. As a parent you will be judged for so much more....

If she said it joking, not accusing you of lying, then yea it's a compliment. I have a pretty pronounced bump, but sometimes if I wear a big shirt I don't look pregnant. If someone notes that I get VERY happy.

Take it as a compliment.
And when you are back in your jeans 2 weeks after your baby is born you will realize just how much of a good thing it was!

Yes I had hyperemesis and still do but its being pretty well controlled with my meds. I was thrilled because I weighed myself this morning and I gained 4 pounds. I think people just always make comments when I'm having a bad day and I in my head I'm thinking why are they talking. Lol.
