HSG Xray
So my doctor called and we went over our options. I had 2 failed unmedicated IUI's
He is setting me up for the HSG Xray (already had water sono, adn Polyp removals)this cycle along with starting clomid- I really hope one of these cycles are ours !!!
anyone have prior experience with it?

Ive done the clomid for a few cycles now. Not bad. Taken it during the day and taken it during the night; didn't matter. The first month I had really bad cramping and clotting with AF, but other than that I had no side effects. Some ladies say headaches and hot flashes.
HSG...I freaked out about!!!! Brought DH with me and he came in with me for the procedure. To tell you the truth it was not as bad as I thought at all!! Set up was quick, uncomfortable but no pain; then waited for radiologist to come in; then injected the contrast (crampy); not even 3 mins later it was all over. They give you the results immediately too.

Did you have the Xray and your IUI same cycle?
My doctor wants to me to do it all this cycle

If I remember correctly, the first month I started we did blood, sono, SA, HSG and endometrial biopsy; and the next month we did the IUI. Thats just how it wound up with my cycle days. They say the first few months after the HSG it increases you chances though :)

I had my HSG on my 3rd IUI attempt (first with injectables though) and it was the one that worked! Hope the same is true for you!

I am scheduling mine in 2 weeks.. I heard from the many helpful ladies on this board that it is quick, and not too painful if your tubes are not blocked. My RE told me to take motrin before and also an antibiotic to prevent an infection.
