Jet Blue jut posted an awesome deal to Atlantis

Kids fly and eat for free! I priced out a weekend in February and it would have only been $1500 for 4 of us with direct flights! But the kids don't have passports and I don't think DH would give me the ok since we're going away this weekend to Woodloch. But I thought maybe someone here could take advantage of it.

Silly question but do the kids need passports for the Bahamas? I unexpectedly have the first week of Feb off and I'm so tempted to just go, but if they need passports I cant!

They do need passports, but you could pay extra to have them expedited.

I know they don't for the cruise we are taking that ports in Nassau. I wonder if that's different for some reason.

The passport cruising restrictions are different from other methods - more lax.

I guess they figure if anyone wants to do anything bad, they wouldn't want to sit on a cruise ship and wait 3 days before getting there. Chat Icon

Then again on our last cruise after we got back to the US they were looking for some passengers who had pot buds and pictures of grow houses in their cabin. Chat Icon

We took a cruise and they required passports even for kids. I think the rules recently changed so I would look into the cruise requirements before you go...Also Atlantis sent me an email and they are also giving out a free swim with the dolphins encounter too.

Which cruise line? I think it may depend on where you go/where it embarks/debarks.

We are going on Disney to Nassau and I know my kids only need birth certificates.

FYI on the cruise issue.

Generally for a closed loop cruise (embark and debark at the same port) you do not need a passport. This applies not only to the Bahamas but other locations as well. A passport is still highly recommended just in case there are heaven forbid any issues and you need to disembark and fly home, etc.

Another FYI...it sounds like a great deal, and money wise, it totally is, but keep in mind the weather in February there is pretty chilly...it's not going to be 80 everyday! We went in March 2 years ago and it never got above 76
