First appt @ RS of NY

My first appt is today! Really excited about getting started. What should I expect? I know it's going to be a consult but will they do bloodwork today or on cd3? I am currently 7dpo so will they do a preg test?

That's great!! I love everyone at the stony brook office :) My first appointment was just a consult; lots of Q&A, filled out some forms, the dr went over treatment options/testing he wanted to do...then i made appointments for all the tests (SA for DH, HSG, endometrial bx, bloodwork, sono) We started treatments the next cycle. I can't remember if he did bloodwork the first day; I don't think so though.

Good Luck!!

The first appt was pretty good.. lots of talking and getting the tests in order. Looking forward to working with Dr. Sung! My only issue was that I had to wait almost 1.5 hours!! Insane IMO!

1.5 hours? Did you have a morning or afternoon consult?

Which office? I never wait more than 15 mins in stony brook. Maybe something happened.

Dr Sung has had really long waits recently. One of the nurses said she's backed up from taking the week after Christmas off. It's usually not that bad- good luck!!

Re: First appt @ RS of NY

Mineola office with Dr. Sung.. I ended up leaving to get dinner with DS and come back lol.. worked out fine I guess but I am praying that is not normal protocol! One of her patients was waiting 2 hours herself and the staff mentioned something ab an emergency so maybe something happened? It would make sense if she is backed up but they scheduled me a week out and said she had a few times that day. Overall, I loved her and the staff was great.

I"m guessing it was a fluke thing...I've been going for quite some time and I never have waiting more than 15 min to get taken into the back waiting room. Good luck and try to forget this happened Chat Icon

I'm glad the appt went well overall! It will feel good to get started with a protocol and have a plan. Chat Icon Of course hopefully you are pregnant now and none of this will be necessary anyway!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon (just don't read into the signs Chat Icon Chat Icon )
