All of a sudden peeling, breaking nails

My nails have been really great for months & all of a sudden they started breaking & love in the nail bed.

Now no matter how short I've cut them, they are still breaking.

Any suggestions? I'm currently using nailtek.

Is the skin on your hands dry?
I have to moisturize my hands like crazy in the colder months - my hands crack and bleed, it's terrible...if I don't moisturize regularly, I notice that my nails suffer as well - they'll peel and split.
Maybe that's a cause?

The cuticles have been dry, surprisingly my hands have been worse in past winters (to point of cracking & bleeding).

I'm trying to stay on moisturizing. I'm so frustrated, cause it's getting worse.

Could also be a vitamin deficiency, do you take a multivitamin?

I do take a multi. Just had a physical in Oct & all was normal. It started right after Christmas...I was actually on a 2 week eating spree thru my BDay & the holidays, so I shouldnt be deficient

Plus, I got into an auto accident in Nov, so I stopped all working out.

So weird...I too was concerned about something wrong. Hopefully it's just dryness?
