For nyc doe Is fmla 12 weeks from after maternity leave or is it your 6 weeks maternity plus another 6 weeks?

However if you go out a week before you have your LO, it's 6 plus 5 (because they count the first) from my understanding

That I'm not sure about. I had DS on 8/28 but I took 6 weeks maternity and then a childcare leave. So I didn't use the rest of FMLA.
