Update!
My DH had his follow up from his varicocele surgery the other day. He told the doctor that he still has concessional discomfort when he moves certain ways, but the doctor assured him that it is fine.
My DH needs to go back for blood work, sonogram, and SA in 3 months. That will be the real test to see if it all worked. :Fingers Crossed: The doctor is optimistic. He said he is hoping for 5-10 million sperm, which would be amazing since at his last SA he had 0. He is optimistic because in September 2011, my DH did produce sperm and then a year later he was producing nothing. The doctor believes this is because his testosterone levels decreased and his varicocele got worse.
We are also planning on scheduling a consult with one of the clinics in NYC. I have a few on my list that I am looking further into (in particular looking at their MF success rates). Hopefully, we will be able to do a cycle in July/August when I have more flexibility at work.

Re: Update!
for you and your dh to get some much deserved good news in a few months!! I can't imagine how stressful it must be to wait 3 months to see how effective this was. We always get so worked up about the 2ww, which seems like nothing in comparison to this.
I'm looking forward to a positive update here. It really seems like the doctor feels optimistic!

Update!
Good luck. I'm one of those who were waiting for my dh and after one year we have now started ivf. It's a long road but keep having faith that this will all be worth it. Heck I would even try naturally. Ya never know Try to enjoy the next few months
