Cord Blood vs Cord Tissue
We definitely want to do the cord blood banking but I didn't realize there is also an option for cord blood tissue.
Did anyone do the banking? Did you do just blood or both?

I just went to a seminar on this. It sounds like the cord tissue is going to be more beneficial than cord blood in the future, but I also know that some of this could be part of their sales pitch.

Cord Blood vs Cord Tissue
My OB told me to do the blood but they had no advice on the tissue bc it is so new and not much research/work has been done. DH spoke to somoene from Viacord the other day who did say there are many more uses for the tissue but that it isn't FDA approved so you can't technically use it in this country but they would ship the tissue any where in the world if we did need to use it. We decided to just bank the blood.
