Applesauce- 6.5 month old
I made applesauce to feed my DD, but I have 2 questions if someone can help because I am not sure.
Its been refrigerated for 2 days, do I serve it to her cold?
How long does it stay fresh in the refrigerator? 3 days like veggies or longer? Should I freeze it I have enough for 10 days.
Thank you!!!!!!

My DD likes it cold, but if you arent sure, just leave it for 20 minutes so it can become room temperature, or het it up.
I think 2 days is fine. I wouldnt keep it more than three days in the fridge (now that DD is older, I do, but when she was 6 months, I kept by the three day rule). But if you were to keep it longer than three days, then heat it up in a pan so that it boils, and that should kill any bacteria.
I would definitely freeze it. Applesauce holds up well.

I wouldn't go over 3 days. You can definitely freeze what you won't use.
BTW, you can also buy jarred, unsweetened applesauce (the adult kind) to use as well. I make a lot of DD's food, but that's one thing I don't bother with and just get jarred.

Yup, one time making all that applesauce was enough for me! It's actually cheaper to buy organic, unsweetened applesauce most times of the year.
But to answer your questions - 3 days in the fridge, freeze the rest in ice cube trays and they'll last for 3 months. Serve cold, that's fine.
