anterior placenta
Not only did we find out we are having a and that he's symmetrical and perfect......I also found out that I have an anterior placenta which is why I haven't really felt movement. He was boxing away when she started the sono, so I knows he's a mover, just can't feel it yet.....can anyone relate? How ling did it take to feel movement?

Re: anterior placenta
Ugh, I struggled with not feeling the baby move because of an anterior placenta for a long time!! It drove me crazy. I didn't really start feeling her until I was about 25 weeks and I didn't feel her consistently until about 30 weeks. I feel her pretty regularly now on most days, but every now and then there will be a day when i don't feel her as much and it freaks me out.

Re: anterior placenta
Congrats!!!
My girls would be giving the sono tech the hardest time. They would say they were moving so much and couldnt get a picture. I'd feel nothing!! Then there were times they would kick the sono thingy lol. I felt that. I did feel them a lot though overall, just a little later- like 28 weeks. I felt them before but not as much.

Re: anterior placenta
i really think it depends on the person. i was told i have an anterior placenta but started feeling movement at 11w.
although, i really only felt HIGH or LOW movement for the first 20-22w, not much in the middle.

anterior placenta
I had it with my first snd now again with my third. I didn't have it wirh my second and have to say it was such a treat. I felt my second so much and so early. I do feel my third now, some days more than others. But it's very different from what I experienced with my second.
With my first, I had a scare around 28 weeks. I couldn't feel her at all one morning. I drank chocolate milk. Ate cookies. Had juice. No matter what I did I couldn't feel her. I called my dr and they had me come in right awsy and did a sono. She was moving and kicking a ton, but I couldn't f eel it. I'm betting I will have another freak out like that this pregnancy...

Re: anterior placenta
I have anterior placenta this time, I had posterior with my other kids. Kinda blows if you ask me, I feel jipped that I can't feel the baby kicking away. I told DH we need to have a fourth so I can end on a high note (feeling baby wise).

I had an anterior placenta with my first and also didn't feel the baby until about 25 weeks. I would freak myself out on a daily basis because I barely felt DD.
This pregnancy I have a posterior and it is such a difference, so hopefully you have it with your second!

anterior placenta
i had an anterior placenta and i felt movement regularly after 22 weeks or so. i started feeling flutters around 15-16w then nothing til 20w, then consistent kicks after 22w. i actually didnt confirm it was anterior until after i delivered. i felt movement pretty normally after 22 weeks.

Re: anterior placenta
I had it and I rarely felt movement- even at the end. I would feel things here and there- but never the big kicks and movements everyone was talking about. I also didn't feel anything until way after 20 weeks. DH was never able to feel her kick by putting his hand on my belly either. I would feel some movement, some rolling around at the end, etc- but half the time I thought it was gas. I would get sonos and the tech would be like wow did you feel that? And I'd be like- feel what? I really never had the whole experience of feeling movement and kicks, rolls etc.

Same with my DD, I'm really hoping I can feel this lil guy move around. I was so sad I never felt movement and I spent so much time worrying if she was ok in there

Re: anterior placenta
Crashing, not pg. I had 2 anterior placentas with my twins plus I'm overweight. I didn't feel conistent movement until 26w. However at that point they didn't have much room to move in there.

Re: anterior placenta
They found out my placenta is anterior too about three wks ago....this is my first time with it, with my girls it was in the right place and I felt movement with my first at around 16wks and around 14wks with my second ....so this is a little frustrating not feeling much at 18wks with my third....only thing is I'm worried bc my placenta is over my scar tissue from my last csections which scares me a little bc of how they'll have to cut me to get the baby out I'm still hoping that the placenta moves away from the scar as I get further along
