How long until AF arrives? The nurse told me this morning it could be up to 14 days!!!! That seems crazy to me. Am I overreacting?

Your beta has to get down to zero, which can take up to 14 days. Although, I don't think it will take that long.

I had a chemical a few months ago. I actually didnt know that I was even pregnant until CD3 when I went in for BW. I found out then that my beta was 35, it was down to 0 by CD7. I had a normal cycle that month too.

When i had a miscarriage last fall, the RE told me i would get AF 4 weeks after my beta reached 0...well a few days after my beta was down to 0 i got AF.

Sometimes I really dont think they ever really know, and I think they error on the side of caution that it could be longer...

As soon as your beta drops to zero AF will be here. Hopefully it won't take 14 days so you can try again.

Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm so sorry.. I don't even know what to say.. I know we're each dealing with our own type of sadness today but I've had a chemical before and it's such a horrible tease. You get that 10 minutes of excitement just to find out that infertility is bending over and pulling it's pants down for you. Chat Icon Chat Icon

To answer your question, I got AF almost immediately after my chemical, but it was a beta of 15 so pretty low. If you were on progesterone it may delay things. Ughh I know what it's like to just wanna set that reset button as fast as possible!! Believe me I know!!

Thanks, I'm trying to find a balance of how I should be feeling right now and I think I've compromised at neutral. I have no expectations, just hoping for a miracle. Bed rest stinks, my butt hurts and I'm stir crazy already.

I hope you are able to move on soon Chat Icon It's really the only thing that helps!

Re: Now that I am officially having a chemical

Still waiting for AF. Chat Icon Go tomorrow morning for my 4th blood test. So frustrating. We told my DH mother this weekend and she was happy that we are finally trying and sad that its not viable. Not a great birthday present for her but she handled it well. Now she will be calling me everyday to see when AF arrives! Ugh! I hope she rears her ugly head sooner than later. I am looking forward to my next BFP!!
