Alcohol!
Food is really not important: you could do pastas, sandwiches, catered food, etc.

Re: Christening related/Food
Lunch foods. Wraps or a hero.
We had DS's christening during the day with the party in the afternnon and just ordered platters of wraps and salads. It was really good and easy to eat considering not everyone had a place to sit.

Re: Christening related/Food
I'd expect some of the regular chafing dish fare from a good deli: chicken Francaise, baked ziti, eggplant parm, sausage & peppers. But I'm Italian so this is basically what we do!

Re: Christening related/Food
i think a hero, or little sandwiches, and maybe some assorted salads - green salad, pasta salad etc - is nice. personally i don't 'expect' anything when i go to an event in terms of food... i'll find something to eat regardless - but personally i like a "lighter" menu for lunch, as opposed to the typical chafing dish foods

Re: Christening related/Food
i HATE those heros..just not a fan..so when that is the only thing at a party...i eat chips for lunch/dinner! HAHA! But I would NEVER say anything!
SO i always hope for some type of chicken, pasta or rice, and salad, etc...
