Tell me about Woodloch Pines
Is Easter break a good time to go? How many days is good to stay for? What is there to do there? We did Hershey last Easter and stayed at The Hershey Lodge. Would you go back to Hershey again or try Woodloch Pines? Any and all info is appreciated!
Thanks
ETA: We don't ski.

Re: Tell me about Woodloch Pines
I fell in LOVE with the place from their web site! So many activities and the reviews on tripadvisor were fantastic about everything. So I called for a price quote for July/Aug and was like
I know it is probably worth the money because the food was included and the amount of things to do and I dont know your budget but when I told DH that it was over $3k for 4 days, he was like NO WAY! We might as well go to the caribbean or Florida or something.

When I had looked into it, the rooms seemed very outdated to me for the price. I know they have the option of renting from an "owner" there as well (timeshare type thing I believe).

Tell me about Woodloch Pines
DH went to Woodloch a lot when he was younger. I went for the first time a year ago June when DS was 3 months. It was SO MUCH FUN!! They have all kinds of games like trivia, name that tune, plus outdoor activities on the lake and mini golf and a zipline!!! they had a carnival and an outdoor bbq too. oh and a petting zoo. The food was pretty good and it is all you can eat. They also had a parade during dinner and they have an auditorium with a show. Each year(?) they have a theme - ours was British Invasion so the show was in that theme. They also have a few indoor/outdoor pools with a great kiddie pool
I didn't think the room was any more outdated than any other hotel room. It was an outdoorsy woodsy feel. My issue with it was that we were so far from the elevator so it was kinda a pita with the stroller.
The in laws paid so IDK how much it was vs what it was worth. We were there there Fri for dinner through Sunday dinner, and we needed at least 1 maybe 2 more days to do all we wanted. I think it would be more fun with a group of people or family.
As for Hershey, I have never been to the park - it was always closed when we went lol It is on my list though.

Re: Tell me about Woodloch Pines
I've been going with my family every year on Labor Day weekend since I was 12 (I'm 35 now). We absolutely love it.
Yes, it is expensive, no doubt. But all the food is included and there are a ton of activities.
Honestly, it's so completely different from Hershey that you really can't compare.
I don't feel that the rooms are outdated, but we stay in the same room every year, so perhaps some other areas haven't been updated as much.
Feel free to FM me with specific questions. I think it's a great place to go and you will have so much fun!

Tell me about Woodloch Pines
We went every year as kids! My gradparents actually lived in Woodloch Springs for over 12 years! It is so so so so FUN! I cannot wait to take my daughter. We used to go with all my family members so it was a huge group and we loved that there were so many different activities! We'd go in the summer alot, but in the winter they still have great activities, not sure if the tobaggon run is still open, but its awesome!

Re: Tell me about Woodloch Pines
I'm going next weekend, over a holiday weekend, so I'll give a better review when I get back. We are going with 4 families- 8 adults, 7 kids. Rather then stay at the hotel, we rented a 5 bedroom house. We are not on the meal plan, which is just fine for us, but we have access to all of the amenities of the resort. I don't know if you've checked tripadvisor, but the reviews are awesome. I'm super excited to go!
