fatigue - not feeling like myself
I'm 9 weeks along and have been feeling fatigue since before Christmas. I have no energy to do anything. I have no appetite and I'm having trouble sleeping. I just don't feel like myself and it has actually brought me to tears a few times b/c I don't know what to do with myself. Can anyone else relate? Does it get better in the 2nd trimester? Any tips? TIA

This was me exactly!! I got my energy back at 12 weeks, and then was great until recently. I can't sleep now, but it's due to other reasons! Good luck, hope it gets better!

Re: fatigue - not feeling like myself
the second trimester does get better...its actually the best trimester if that helps to hear.
try to hang in there, you should be feeling more like yourself in a few weeks. try to eat right and drink a ton of water, that may help. also take a nap if your body is telling you that you are tired (i used to fight it but felt a thousand times better once i just gave into my body)

Re: fatigue - not feeling like myself
I'm 11 weeks and feeling the same. No energy, very lethargic, and not sleeping. My appetite is actually ok but I'm not exactly eating the healthiest.
I keep hearing energy returns and overall things are better in the 2nd trimester. I'm hopeful this is true and waiting it out.
No specific advice other than to hang in there and

fatigue - not feeling like myself
I felt the same way at that point and then once the 2nd trimester rolled around I felt amazing! It wasn't until recently (maybe around 32 weeks) that the exhaustion came back. I am sitting at my desk right now wanting to put my head down until 5:00.

I was the SAME exact way. Always needed a nap during the day, and actually I also had morning sickness for the LONGEST time.
As soon as I hit my second trimester, it was like a burst of energy hit me and didn't need that nap anymore...I was sleeping, and eating better etc. (Morning sickness didn't go away though :(
ita try drinking a ton of water throughout the day. I'm heading into my third trimester and I hear that I will start to feel the tiredness again soon
Feel better!!

Re: fatigue - not feeling like myself
My first trimester was rough...morning sickness through most of it. Secomd trimester I felt a lot better. Third is a bit rough. My stomach still feels off at times and the this trimester has brought me backpain, constipation and pretty sleepless nights.

Re: fatigue - not feeling like myself
Fatigue is normal, unfortunetly.
However, make sure when you have your blood work done that they test your thyroid. It should be standard.
My fatigue was awful and ended up finding out my thyroid was low. Started meds and I feel amazing.
Hopefully for you it will pass, most likely by second trimester.

Re: fatigue - not feeling like myself
It gets better!!! But for me, I expected week 12 or 13 to come and poof, I'd feel better. It probably took until around 15 or 16 weeks and then I gradually was able to stay up later at night and began feeling more like my old self. That is until the end of your pregnancy when you'll feel too gigantic to move half the time! But don't worry, at 9w you're not supposed to feel great. There's a reason the 2nd tri is known as the "honeymoon trimester!"
