Nutramigen vs. Alimentum
Any thoughts on which one is better or if there is a difference?? TIA

I just know from experiance that my DS was on Alimentum for 1 day and would not take to it, spit up, etc.. Nutramigen was a life changer for him and even though Insurance did not cover a dime of it, it was worth every penny!
My DS was a 100% different baby after switching.

Alimentum was a life saver for my DD. What a difference after we switched to this. And my insurance covered it.

Same.
My nephew and my best friends's daughter were both originally on nutramigen but spit up terribly. Once on alimentum they were much better.

We used Nutramigen. Similac uses too much sugar in their formula.

Nutramigen helped my son. Alimentum almost put him in the hospital. Had a serious reaction to it. Probably from soy... He ended up on Elecare soon after though...

Nutramigen mom here! Helped DS ... Different baby once he was on it. Overall, my ped. Recommended the enfamil line over similac in general so nutramigen Was the only specialized formula i tried snd it worked wonders. My insurance covered it. I have heard on here that alimentum contains traces of dairy so many babies do not do well on it. Ask your ped. For samples and for enough samples to get you through until you can get the insurance to cover it. My ped. Gave me 2 weeks worth and probably would have given me more, but my insurance came through in less than a week. (keep asking for samples in case insurance Doesn't Cover)

Nutramigen vs. Alimentum
DD is on a 50/50 mix of Alimentum and Similac Sensitive. She may not need Alimentum, but she was crying for 6 hours a day for a few days and her ped said to switch. I've been doing the 50/50 for three months now and it's working great. I only did the 50/50 bc our insurance didn't cover it.
