What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
Like bottle at 8, 11, etc..Last bottle at 9 and sleep til X time?
DDs sleep a good 6.5-7 hr stretch after their last bottle whether it's at 9 or 10 or 11pm. then another 4 hours. Then they eat every 3-4 hrs all day. (trying to push to 4 hrs since they are doing 4 oz now and will go longer now). But their timing is never consistant so their bedtime is never the same. Im back to work so I'd like them to go to sleep by 10 but I cant always feed them at that time. (feed the first beginning at 9 so both are in bed at 10)
Im afraid to just feed them whatever they will take at 10 regardless of what time they last ate because I don't want them to wake up 2 hours later and mess up that 6/7 hr stretch they have going. But I can't keep going to bed after 11.

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
DD got on a good schedule at about 4.5 months, when we were home for a week with her after Sandy. Now, at 6.5 months, her schedule has been in the midst of changing again, and it is driving me nuts because I really liked the predictability!
ETA: How old are the girls now? I would have to look back at some old posts to see exactly when DD had a set bedtime. It was before 3 months though. I swear, a lot of that newborn stuff is a huge blur. We were doing a dreamfeed with her though to keep her asleep longer (and still are, but that's for calories now...)

My DS one and his schedule changes. Be somewhat flexible because it will change as they grow.

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
by 1 month DS was on a "schedule". It changed here and there by a half hour but i started at 2 weeks to try during the day to be on a feeding schedule, it was the only thing that kept me sane! i followed his lead and just tried to stick to the times he usually ate and at 3 hour intervals. So we ate at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm then bed. If he ate at 10:30 instead of 10am the next 3 hr feeding would be at 1:30 but i would do it 15 minutes earlier at 1:15 instead, then the next one 15 min early again and be back on schedule. hope that makes sense! i think the key is to be flexible and follow your baby's natural pattern.
The middle of the night he was on his own schedule though!
ETA: I'm sure it is difficult with two - if you have a schedule maybe its feed DD1 at 7am, DD2 at 7:30am then keep going every 4 hours?

This... pretty much kept her schedule loose to every 3 or so hours around 9m. But really it changed a lot based on growth spurts, being sick, teething etc.

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
They are 12 weeks today. I dont mind the daytime inconsistancy so much. Its the night time one. Id like to have it set a bit to be by 10. But sometimes its 11 then its midnight by the time they are done. Thats fine when I dont have work the next day but not on a regular basis.
I think I could dreamfeed one of them because I pretty much wake her by picking her up to feed her and she falls asleep mid feeding and eats while sleeping. (though not a full bottle). I'm wondering if I could put her to sleep in her rock n play at sometime after the previous feeding then just feed her in there so I dont have to pick her up. I have a feeling they might eventually skip that feeding too because they are both pretty sleep at that one too.
For a dreamfeed, do you just put the bottle in their mouth and they drink or do you need to wake them a bit first?

DS is 12 weeks tomorrow and not on a schedule yet. He eats every 3-4 hours during the day. At night, we've been trying to start the sleeping routine around 8 or 9 and he sleeps for at least 5 hours, but it's REALLY inconsistent still.

About 6,7 months. Every time I finally got into a schedule it would change, now that I think of it, that's still how it is. Kind of annoying but I'm trying to just go with it instead of getting all bent out of shape about it.

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
from birth thanks to winthrop!
when we had Jack, they had him on a 4 hour schedule (9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm, 1am etc etc) and he stuck with it.
He dropped the 1am bottle when we came home so it was 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm, 5am and so on.
We were VERY lucky though.
ETA - he was also taking larger amounts of formula early. 3oz in the hospital, 4oz by 2 weeks.

What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
I'd say around 5 months DS started to get into a good schedule. But he's almost 9 months now and his schedule is starting to change. It must be extra hard with twins trying to get 2 babies on a schedule. Good luck!

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
my baby is one and still does not have a strict schedule. its similar day to day but lots of flexibility. i think because he is half day care, half grandma and half with me and when im home its weekends and lots to do so it changes everything. and he doesnt sleep at day care.

Re: What age did your LO get on a time schedule?
We came home on the 3 hour schedule and stuck with it. We would dream feed around 10 or 11 (I don't remember). If one woke up at night we would wake the other and feed them at the same time. As time went on we tweaked the 3 hour feelings to a schedule that met our families needs.
The best advice I got from another twin mom was to put them on the schedule you want them on. that and at naght wake the other one. it really worked for us.
