Prednisone
For those of you that are or have taken Prednisone I have a question. I have previously taken Medrol on other cycles but never Prednisone. Does it have that same nasty taste like the Medrol? I had trouble holding the medrol down(tried mixing it with peanut butter and all) does the Prednisone have the same effect?

yes, it tastes like crap but i just be sure to take it with something other than water and food. i usually take it with OJ in the morning.

I've taken prednisone numerous times for various reasons (infertility included) and have never noticed any sort of taste associated with it.

It tastes bad but the pill is small. I just take it with a big gulp of water. Make sure you have plenty of water in your cup!!
eta: don't leave it on your tongue before swallowing. Just put it in, have the water ready, and be done with it!

Just wondering what prednisone is used for in an infertility treatment.
DH and I tried to get pregnant for over two yrs including three failed iui and then during a month break I happen to be taking prednisone for bronchitis and I got pregnant...... Wondering now if the prednisone may have had something to do with it?

It's a steroid that helps the embryo implant to your uterine lining. With IVF I know sometimes your body sees the embryo as a foreign object and in my case it rejects it so hopefully the prednisone will assist it with sticking.

i never noticed i hate when pills touch my tongue so i would always try my hardest to get it down before i ever got any taste from it.
