I don't think you should be worried. He can gain another .5lb per week and could end up being over 7lbs which is a perfectly healthy baby weight!! Babies are like people, we come in all sizes Plus those scans are never 100% accurate. A different tech could measure your baby 10 minutes later and come back with completely different information.

Baby measuring small
No because my baby was measuring 9 pound on the last sono so we scheduled a c-section due to her being oversized plus my gestational diabetes and she was only 7lbs 15oz.
Those things are often wrong!

Re: Baby measuring small
Happened to me. My whole third tri baby was measuring small. My belly was measuring small too. Because I had slightly elevated BP they were concerned that maybe she wasn't getting enough blood flow So I had a few doppler sonos and they determined blood flow was fine- she was just small Like 20th percentile ish I had to go for growth sonos every other week at the end and a NST every week Annoying but worth the piece of mind. I was just glad my docs were on top of it. After all that hoopla, baby girl was born one day before my due date- at 7 pounds even- quite average- and perfectly healthy. Don't stress too much- as long as your docs are monitoring you it will be fine.

Re: Baby measuring small
My DS measured in the 30th percentile at my 36 week sono (5lbs 10ozs). He was born at 7lbs 3 ozs. Your baby will gain weight between now and delivery. No need to be worried!

Re: Baby measuring small
my last pregnancy i had to have 2 growth sonos because my belly was measuring small and they wanted to make sure the baby was still growing.
Everything turned out fine. I just carry small. I did with my 1st pregnancy too.
Nothing to worry over as long as they keep an eye on it.

Re: Baby measuring small
I'm having the same issues. Doctor actually put me on bed rest until further notice. Been out of work for 2 weeks, luckily I am able to work from home. Baby was measuring 4.9 at 35 weeks. I go tomorrow for another sono and depending on the results they will schedule a date to get induce. I'm trying not to stress but it's been really hard.
