Newly pregnant...a little nervous

Hi all,

I had a miscarriage in October (got pregnant right away, first time trying). I was only 5.5 weeks, and I had heavy bleeding and low levels.

I got my BFP on Christmas morning. I called the doctor's that Friday, and they had me go for bloodwork. They just got back to me today because of the holiday. They said my HCG looks good but my progesterone is a little low: 9.3. They want it at 11. I am about 5.5 weeks now, so I am extremely nervous. They put in a prescription for supplemnts, and sid next Friday (1/11) when I have my appointment I can get my levels checked again.

I just feel so nervous about this pregnancy. I had back pain with my daughter (which was an unplanned and healthy pregnancy) and my miscarriage, and I have it again now. I have no spotting yet, which is good. I didn't really feel pregnant with my daughter (except for the back pain) until about 8 weeks, so I wasn't worried about my lack of symptoms last time. But now, of course, I am very nervous that I have few symptoms.

I guess I just wonder how everyone is coping with the nervousness or fear of miscarriage this early in the game.

I'm sure you'll be fine now that you're on supplements! Low progesterone is easily fixed and was probably the reason for your m/c in October. It's still so early that they likely caught it in plenty of time.

Thanks! We weren't really trying so the pregnancy surprised me in the first place...I appreciate your responses!
