Measuring small early in pregnancy

I'm 6 weeks 5 days and when i went to my sono today (under the care of an RE even though we conceived naturally on our own) the baby is only measuring 6weeks2days, so 3 days behind. Heard the heartbeat though, 127.

I was told +- 3 days is normal but I'm still concerned. I was sick with a really bad stomach virus last week, 6 days of almost no eating and to top it off i had a fever of 101.7. I treated the fever once i knew I had one but I'm pretty sure I had a fever all night long but was too out of it to take my temp or tylenol (i couldn't keep anything down). Honestly never expected that I'd have a fever since I didn't have one for 15 years.

Just nervous about what the fever and virus and lack of food did to the baby. Feeling a bit doomed.

TOTALLY normal to be measuring a few days off in the beginning!! In fact I had measured 5 weeks 4 days when I knew I was 6 week 1 day...they said the same thing, its SO early and hard to get an accurate measurement. When I went back at 8 weeks I was measuring a day ahead! This happened with my first son too...very very normal!

And women get sick all the time through pregnancy. Babies are well protected in the uterus. I've had stomach bugs with 2 of my 3 and all was fine. I remember feeling like "how can this baby be ok when i am so sick" lol but i was reassured it was OK. As long as you're staying hydrated, that is the biggest concern right now. All else will be ok! ps-women have hyperemesis their whole pregnancies (vomiting daily) and will even lose weight but still have healthy babies. Don't worry about lack of food this early on, the baby takes everything it needs!

dont worry about it...3 days is completely normal. since you conceived naturally there are so many factors that come into play...just because you ovulated on a certain day you still have to take into account the time for the egg to get fertilized and the time for the egg to implant...that takes a few days.

i was measuring behind until after 8w. Unless youre measuring more than a week behind i wouldnt even think twice about it... is so common
