The only thing that helped at all was to get up and go for a brisk walk outside. The exhaustion early on is very very hard. I don't know too many remedies, but it does get better.

exactly! I thought I couldn't have caffeine too, then I asked my OB and she said it's perfectly fine! I've been much more awake through out the day since going back to having my cup of coffee!

Have a cup of coffee/tea in the morning. Or even half a cup in the morning and one in the afternoon. Like the PPs have said you can have up to 200mg per day.
Other than that eating lighter meals helped prevent me from getting too sleepy after meal times. During the 1st tri if I had a big lunch not only did I feel sick I felt like I could have passed out at my desk.

Re: what can i do?
my friend never ate meals. always carried chicken (sounds funny)
every time she got real tired she ate a piece. she didnt get hungry easy and could not eat much at a time so it helped her in multiple ways

being at work when your this exhausted blows. there really isn't much you can do... i used to pass out on the train to and from work. i would make dinner for DH & I and would let him clean up afterwards while i took another nap. take a shower and then i was in bed by 9:30-10pm, latest. sad. then i would start the next day all over again feeling as i could sleep another 24 hours straight. i hope it goes by quickly for you!!!!!

There is not much you can do -- sleep as much as you can when you're home!!

Re: what can i do?
Go to bed early, sleep as late as you can, and take advantage of the fact that you can safely have 200mg of caffeine daily.
