It's so strange for me to be writing on this board since I've only wrote 2 posts on the TTC board.
My last month on the pill was Sept. and was late by about 3 days as of yesterday and something told me to take a test. I've also had a cold for the past 2 weeks that I just couldn't seem to kick. It was a slight cold, got better, then got worse, and now it's better. Well, I did and the test came back positive! (obv.) If I'm calculating correctly I think i'm a little more then 4 weeks.
It's such a strange feeling after trying to prevent something for 99% of my life and then it just happening. I wasn't really tracking my ovulation or noting what cd it was or anything like that, we were just letting things happen and they did.
DH is very excited. I'm still in shock. I play devil's advocate all the time so I think part of me is still telling myself that it could be a false positive but I am feeling a little pressure in my lower abdomen so who knows. I'm going to take another test today and if that come back positive then I'll call my doc to make an appointment.
This is all so strange, exciting, and confusing at the same time. I know I want kids but was never the one to really give it much more thought then that.
This will be our first child so I'm sure all these feelings are normal. I am a frequent poster on here under another name and a 10' bride from LIW.
