Our sons' birthdays are one day apart. DH finally agreed to have 2 separate parties for the boys. We are having the 4th bday party at our house and plan to invite DS's preschool class as well as our good friends. We are having the 2nd birthday at My Gym the day after and plan to invite DS#2's preschool class and some friends from my mom's club.

Would you invite your good friends (~10 friends) to the 2nd birthday party at My Gym?

I don't want to burden them with 2 parties. I was thinking of inviting them to both and telling them to come to whichever is more convenient for them. DH thinks we should just invite them to the home party.

I would send the invitation to just one. If they have kids that would enjoy both, let them know by phone about the other one so they can decide if they want to do both.

I would let the parents decide which is more convenient for them. Some may surprise you and want to go to both.

It depends. My very best friend doesn't have kids so I would probably only invite her to the home party, I can't imagine she would want to come to My Gym, as much as she loves us. Several of my other good friends have kids, so I would invite them to both.
