We saw a heartbeat, but I am still nervous
We saw a heartbeat flickering away but for some reason, couldn't get a good enough position to hear it.
Also, she couldn't get a clear enough image to take a good measurement, but estimated 6-6.5 weeks. I should be 7.5 weeks.
Then, after the transvaginal ultrasound, she saw blood. That, combined with my (apparently) low progesterone, and I just left the appointment feeling down and nervous, instead of happy and excited.
Ugh, please tell me I'm worrying over nothing
Here is my little blueberry:

Re: We saw a heartbeat, but I am still nervous
try not to worry - i know its easier said then done (at 33 weeks i still worry lol)
but, it could be a week off based on when you ovulated and when it implanted...it could be later then you think. in terms of the heartbeat, my doctor did not even attempt to listen to it at my first appt (8 weeks) because she said it is not always easy to hear but as long as you can see it that is what counts
congrats

Re: We saw a heartbeat, but I am still nervous
Try not to worry, we couldn't see a heartbeat the first visit and I was measuring 1 week smaller than my LMP showed. Went back the following week, saw and heard a heartbeat! Everything is fine, I'm just 1 week behind what we originally thought.

usually, they don't try to hear the heartbeat that early, although some Dr's will try. we didn't get to hear our LO heartbeat until 10weeks, but we always saw her heartbeat well before then. Your little blueberry could also have implanted late, so don't stress yourself out (a lot easier said than done) about what its measuring...

We saw a heartbeat, but I am still nervous
Seeing a heartbeat is a very good sign!!! I had a chemical back in August and was not feeling the most positive on this pregnancy and did as much research and spoke to numerous doctors and nurses that I know about it. They all said that seeing a heartbeat is a great sign that the pregnancy is fine so try to breathe easy until your next appointment. As for measuring, I've been measuring off my whole pregnancy so as my sister says "it's called an estimated due date for that reason...they don't really know."

Re: We saw a heartbeat, but I am still nervous
At my 8 week appt they also estimated that I was only 7 weeks pregnant. In fact they based my due date on that, so even though I thought I should be due 4/3 based on my LMP, they are operating under the assumption that I am due 4/9. I was especially surprised that they did this because I had a perfect 28 day cycle so I thought LMP would be a pretty accurate way of dating the pregnancy. Since the 8w appt, the baby has consistently measured bigger than a 4/9 due date (though never a full week ahead) but they still haven't changed my EDD.
Also, I saw the HB at that appointment but they didn't even attempt to let me listen to it until my next appointment.
I'm now almost 26 weeks pregnant and baby is fine and healthy. Good luck!

It's perfectly normal to worry, but if the doctors are not concerned, you should try not to be either!
I went in with bleeding and they told me I was having a miscarriage -- then after around 2 weeks they called to tell me to assume I was still pregnant. I went in for a sono thinking I was around 7 1/2 weeks (I was pretty confident because I was on meds), but I was measuring 6 weeks even and they could only see a flicker. I went back a week later and heard the heart and they got a measurement! I'm almost 36 weeks now.
