Womens One a Day? Update
Im taking Womens One a Day as a prental.... the general pills...not the prenatal ones because I thought the general ones were ok... but is it really ok? It only has 400 of folic acid, is that ok? I also take Omega 3's that go in the fridge. I hope Im getting what I need
Update... Ok so I bought 400 folic acid so that I could take it now.
I bought Rainbow Light Prenatal One... how come its lower in Calcium? Only has 200?

I think you need more Folic Acid. I think it is supposed to be 1000 per day

Minimum folic acid is 400mcg, My Prenatal has 1mg or 1000mcg. Most have 800mcg. I'm sure you could just add a 400mcg folic acid supplement and you would be fine, but I would call your OB and ask!!

I take the Women's One a Day prenatals with DHA. You want to take a DHA supplement, not just an Omega 3 supplement since they might not have the right level of DHA and EPA.

nope I just take the rainbow light and a seperate DHA supplement.. I think its called expecta!

What insurance do you have? You may be better off taking a prescription prenatal. My gyn prescribed citranatal ensure and through my insurance its only $21 for a 3 month supply through mail order...

I taught for a year in NYC and if I remember correctly, you can do the mail order prescriptions for 3 month supplies. You should look into it and see how much it would be....
