What to expect 1st RE apt rsofny
Hi Y'all Haven't been on LIF since I initially signed up , I have my first apt. with an RE at RSofNY , Mineola. I have no idea what to expect. Is it normal to be prescribed meds before DH gets tested ? New to all this, just learning about all the different treatments.

Welcome!
For my first consultation, we just went over all of my medical records I brought with me, my RE gave me a script for bloodwork, provera and metformin (for PCOS), and gave DH a script for a SA. He told me what method would work best for me, and told me to take the provera and come back on CD 3 for monitoring.
On my first appt (cd 3), I gave blood, had a sonogram to check out my follicles and spoke with the doctor on call about the plan for the cycle. I was given a script for Clomid, and then made an appt for a week later. I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

At my first consultation we went over my history and my previous IVF cycles. We went over my protocol( which meds), and future blood test that was needed.
Love the doctors there! Good luck.

My first appt we were just asked basic questions and were told they would help us make a baby! Told to call when I got my next period and went in for sono and blood on cd3. No meds for me until last month(Clomid) and nothing for DH. He had to bring a sample in to get tested. We did one natural cycle for monitoring then Clomid last month and this month. We just had our first IUI on Sat. I love everyone there. Good luck!!

Just wanted to say that you should absolutely never go on meds before both you and your partner are fully tested. You can spend a lot of time and money on meds for yourself only to find out it's your husband who is experiencing issues (or vice versa).

At my first consult visit we went over medical history between me and my Dh. Explained the drug protocol that was going to used. They gave a script to DH for a SA and I had to make appointment to go to the injection class. On CD 3 I did blood and sono. I wish you lots of luck!!!

We just went over history, what to expect, etc. I went back a few days later for fasting bloodwork and DH had to a S.A. We didn't start any meds or anything until after my CD3 appt.

Apt went good, didn't have a panic attack ,lol. Gave alot of blood waiting to hear results , got a script for provera but wont start anything till results. MissFab I saw baby brians pic at the office !
