Nursery furniture

Anyone not getting baby furniture and ahead just getting a regular dresser and such. My brother gave us a convertible crib in white and I keep looking at the baby furniture online but I'm undecided if I want to go baby furniture or get a white set from ikea or some other store. I kind of think stuff they can grow into would work better but unsure.

we did not, only the crib. we got an antique white crib and used my old antique off white furniture from when I was a kid.

We bought a convertible crib from Walmart. And the rest of our white furniture from ikea. It was much more reasonably priced and fit the small space we were working with. And it doesn't look any different than from a baby store!

We bought baby furniture, but it's definitely something the baby can grow into. A dresser is a dresser, so we'll use it when he's a baby and he'll use it when he's older.

Same here... The changing table is just a dresser with a hutch and then a tall dresser and convertable crib... we bought the rails now so we dont have to worry when we do need them if its still available.

Re: Nursery furniture

we bought his forever furniture... crib converts, using dressers as changing table, got tall dress, bookshelf and nightstand so he can grow into everything.

We also bought what is going to be his forever furniture. The crib converts to a full, a long 6 drawer dresser, nightstand and bookshelf. We opted to just use the top of the dressert with a changing table kit instead of getting an actual changing table. When he's still in diapers I'll just use the top two drawers to hold diapers/wipes etc.
