Ridge - Lake Panamoka
We found a great house in Ridge, but we're concerned that the lake would affect homeowners insurance? Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Re: Ridge - Lake Panamoka
Unless you're right on the lake I doubt it would have much of an impact.

Re: Ridge - Lake Panamoka
Hi! I have lived in lake Panamoka for 8 years plus. We live across the street from the lake and we do not pay anything extra. I know some of the houses on directly the lake have had minor basement water issues over the years. The lake level goes on a ten year cycle, it's at about it's lowest point now. Even when it's high and is very rainy it doesn't cause tidal flooding. We are 72 ft above sea level so overall it's a very safe area to live on LI. Our biggest danger here are the enormous trees and crappy old LIPA poles and wires. Fm me the address of the house and I will tell you if it's an area that has had problems with flooding when the lake is high. Just want to say we LOVE living here and it is one of the best kept secrets on LI!

I live in Panamoka. We aren't right on the lake but I just wanted to share that we love it here. It's so quiet and everyone knows everyone. So, everyone looks out for one another.
