1st IUI - lots of questions!!!
So I went for my first trigger shot today and scheduled my IUI for tomorrow. I am sorry if I sound ridiculous but this is my first time and I don't have anyone else to ask
DH has to give his sample in the am, not to be graphic but can I do it for him(hands only) or does it have to be him? blush: the last time he had to do it for testing purposes he was not fun to be around lol also I have noticed some women have B2B IUI's did you request that or is that a normal thing? I haven't spoken to a Dr about it. I saw a NP today. Also when do I start testing? AF isn't due till the 7th and I don't think I can wait that long!
Sorry for all of the questions!!!!! DH thinks I ask too many
I am freaking out cuz I went online and saw that washed sperm lasts 12 hours Max and I am going in 28 hrs after trigger. What if I don't O in that 12 hours?? Should I be concerned? The office never said anything about timing!

Re: 1st IUI - lots of questions!!!
you can help him. I also noticed on the form that he fills out it mentions a "Collection Condom" also. I guess you can have sex with that and it catches it.
My first IUI was just one. My Second was B2B because they found that I was still surging when I had the first one so they backed it up.
They said your chances are no better with a B2B it's just extra insurance so to speak.
Good Luck!!!

1st IUI - lots of questions!!!
Honestly I hated my IUIs because of the timing of it all. I helped DH once and he did it on his own one time.
I did not do B2B IUIs but my Dr said if I really wanted to do them i could but his reasoning was that he didn't feel there was an increased chance with doing a 2nd and it was just going to use up my limited insurance funds.

Re: 1st IUI - lots of questions!!!
Ideal timing of an IUI is 36 hours after your trigger. There's no evidence that suggests a B2B is more effective than a single IUI. I had my IUI exactly 37 hours after my trigger and now have a LO in my belly! So it proves that you really only need one! Good luck tomorrow!

Re: 1st IUI - lots of questions!!!
I have never been triggered. I always surge when my follicles are ready. I am wondering if that's why it still hasn't worked. I'm hoping to trigger this time. Maybe with a natural cycle they like to do b2b to be extra sure? Who knows. Hoping you get ur BFP!!!!
