are these gas pains?
ok so all day i have had sharp shooting pains in my upper abdomen and especially my right side. they were worst when i was standing, and so i spent much of the day curled up in a chair at work. eventually i left early because i got worried about the baby. when i lie down they feel much less intense. i called the doc and they said as long as the pains arent accompanied by any bleeding that it is normal and not to worry. so, do you think this is gas? has anyone else experienced this? i am 10 weeks.

Sounds like it could be. In the beginning I had horrible gas pains...especially at night that I would be curled up in a ball almost to the point of tears. It did ease up in the 2nd trimester.

Maybe? When I had gas pains in the first tri I always felt better after taking a short walk.
