I'm a Mom!
Wow, an unexpected turn of events! My water broke Tuesday morning, on my due date. Due to failure to progress once at the hospital, and the baby being super high up, I ended up with a c-section.
At 4:55pm on Tuesday, my husband and I heard those sweet words, "it's a girl!" We were team green, and this was the thrill of a lifetime. We are happy parents to our beautiful Amelia Grace. She weighed in at 6lbs, 12 oz., 20 inches.
Recovery is a little annoying - im sore and mobility is limited- but the staff here and NSUH Manhasset could not be any nicer! We have been thrilled with and comforted by everyone since we got here.
Things did not go as I thought, but so what?! We can't get enough of our precious little girl!
