would you buy tickets to go to a play while you are 38 weeks pregnant?
edit to add that it is a show i already saw - it would be a gift to DH from my mom and we would try to get an aisle seat.

I would be too scared that it would be a waste of money and I wouldn't be able to find someone to take the tickets. Even if I'm not in labor, I'd be SUPER uncomfortable and not be able to hold my urine for that long.

Re: broadway show
I wouldn't bc you never know if you will go early. Plus, the bathroom issue. I haven't even gone to a movie in months because I have to pee every 10 min!

I would not. I never made it to 38 weeks but near the end I was so uncomfortable. I could never sit for that long.

Re: broadway show
I had the same issue a few months ago. Would have been exactly 38 weeks the day of the show. I didn't want to chance it. Plus I figured I wouldn't be too comfy sitting for that long; and I'd have to use the bathroom frequently.

Same with me! I wanted to the movies last week; but I changed my mind thinking about the trips to the bathroom!

idk, normally id say do what you want... but the thought of sitting in a crowded theatre that would normally annoy me because the seats are so small and youre so cramped... its definitely not something i think i would do.

I would normally say do it but thinking about the comfort/bathroom issue I might second guess it... I would say only go if you could get seats towards the back on an aisle.

Re: broadway show
I went to a movie over the weekend and it was pretty rough. I was 37.5 months pregnant.
Everyone is different but I could not get comfortable. I was having contractions and the baby was kicking, I almost had to leave it was was pretty bad.
I would think the broadway seats are just so much smaller and you can't move or shift positions.
I would normally have said go for it, why not but after last weekend's movie fiasco, I wouldn't.
It would be a lot of money wasted if you and your family had to leave early.

Re: broadway show
I went to a show last Saturday night at 24 weeks. I'm still carrying pretty small and even I was uncomfortable. The seats were just not comfortable and I was shifting positions constantly for the 2nd half of the show because my back was hurting. I'm not sure I can imagine having to sit through a show at 38 weeks.

Re: broadway show
I don't know how you feel about going into the city, but to me it's a major PITA and I wouldn't want to have the hassle that pregnant. Having to walk, worry about finding bathrooms, etc would majorly deter me. Also there is the risk of having the baby early and missing it all together (although I'm sure you could give your tix to someone else).
