Pumping
I got a breast pump this past Wednesday; DS is 11 days old and I'm ebf right now. I tried to pump several times already and got maybe, 2 ounces! I'm discouraged that if pumping continues like this I will never have a supply when I return to work in 7 weeks. I don't really know when to pump either; DS eats so frequently that I'm afraid if I pump He will not have enough to eat at a feeding. I attempted to pump right after a feeding and got nothing; I have small breasts so I don't think I have a lot of 'storage' or extras to pump. I'm at a loss, I really want to bf for as long as possible even when I return to work. Hoping for some advice, tiA!

Pumping
I've never been a great pumper, I get maybe 3-4 ounces. I would pump 30-60 minutes after her first morning feeding. Any other time I didn't do as well.
I think 2 ounces this early in between feedings is great. You are likely getting about half of what DS takes in a feeding. I've also read that you want DC to get mostly fresh milk so you really only need the first few days worth of milk frozen plus of course extra for when you need it. In the coming weeks, DS will likely space out morning feeds a bit which will help. Keep it up and try not to stress about it!

Re: Pumping
It helps to pump he same time each day. Usually after the first feeding is recommended. I picked a time closest to when I would pump at work. I did this all of maternity leave (started at 4weeks) and I was successfully able to pump at work and breast feed for over a year. The key is being consistent. Good luck!
Edited to add: try finding a bf support group to go to, that made a world of difference for me.

Keep pumping, pump after every feeding if possible. I once read a study that said women who didn't see how much they were pumping pump more...meaning if you're stressing out over how much milk you're getting, you won't get a lot. Drink Mother's Milk tea and eat plain oatmeal. I swear those helped so much! Also, drink water until you feel like it is going to come out of your ears. You need WAAAAAY more water now than you did when you were pregnant!

Pumping
I pumped when LO was sleeping. I started to lose my milk supply when I got to work and started to drink Mother's Milk Tea and my supply is coming back. Drink plenty of water, eat and try not to stress. Your supply will increase soon.
