IVF/mini IVF

Since it looks like this month is out for us, we are looking at doing ivf next year. I believe we have to do icsi. Just curious is there is a better chance with regular ivf vs mini ivf. I normally don't make a lot of follies but that concerns me too. Thanks!

IVF/mini IVF

I would think ICSI would give you the potential to have more embryos...with my IVF I had a 35% fert rate which is low and we did not do ICSI

Re: IVF/mini IVF

Mini IVF is fewer meds so you potentially may have fewer eggs to fertilize. If you're already a low responder, then it's probably not a good protocol for you.

ICSI is completely different - it's manually fertilizing each egg with a single sperm - and will be a separate charge from mini IVF/IVF. They are separate considerations.

Edited for terrible spelling mistakes.

Thanks, I keep thinking about it and debating if its worth the extra money to do the regular ivf with icsi.

Also we had no mf issue and when we signed papers it says u run the risk if they feel I is is necessary u r consenting to do it

At least for us it said that bc I signed and when I woke up they told me they did icsi and we were not expecting that
