Now that I had my shower...questions about some returns
There are some items that I received or purchased myself that I am not sure that I really need...or some things I may have too much of.
We got a TON of NB clothes...and I returned a bunch of them to BRU (which were great by the way..they took everything!!)...but I feel like I have too many. How many NB outfits should you really have? What about 0-3?
As far as onsies go. How many plain white ones should you have in NB size, 0-3, and up?
Is a insulated bottle tote necessary? I purchased after but didn't know if it is a must have.
Thoughts on sterilizers? I have the microwave one. Necessary to keep it?
How many crib and bassinet sheets are good to have?
I think I am most confused on the clothing. I don't want all this NB stuff to go to waste or 0-3 month stuff. I have no clue how this works.
Any help is great!!

I wouldn't bother with too many NB stuff. DS was 8lbs when he was born and outgrew the NB clothes after 3 weeks. Most of those outfits he wore once. I don't have a sterilizer and haven't missed it at all. The plain white onesies I have one package of each size (NB, 3 mo, etc) and even that seems like a lot.

Did you just sterilize the bottles in boiling water the first time and that was it?

Re: Now that I had my shower...questions about some returns
Crashing sorry. DS is 9 months old (7 months adjusted). I just went through all his clothes that he out grew last night, he had a lot of NB but he was a preemie. He had the most of 0-3, 3 month clothes. I definitely wouldn't get too many NB outfits b/c most out grow it fast. I'd rather the clothes be a little bigger that way he can wear it longer!
Bottle sterilizer I never had. I boiled the bottles in the beginning. Then when I bought new bottles after a few months I just washed them in my dishwasher on the sanitize setting. Bottle sterilizer wasn't really necessary.
Crib/bassett sheets I would have at least 3 so if one is dirty you can put another sheet on and still have a back up! I used sheet protectors the ones that go under DC so that if they spit up it gets on that and not the sheet so you would just have to wash that instead of the whole sheet. HTH

Re: Now that I had my shower...questions about some returns
DD was 8lbs when she was born. She never fit into NB diapers and I never tried NB clothes. In the beginning she wore 0-3 month sleep and play pajamas. You don't know what your baby will weigh or if DC is premature so it is a good idea to keep some NB stuff. Keep it simple... sleep and plays!
I use just a package of white onsies in each size.
I have a tote to keep formula in one the go. It has the ice pack built in basically. We also live in a two story home so we bring the premade formula and bottle warmer upstairs so we don't have to leave the bedroom.
I boiled the bottles and nipples once in the beginning. I boil them all about once a week to sterilize.
We kept 3 sheets. In the beginning DD went a lot. Sometimes as we were changing her and thankfully we had the sheet sets!

So it seems like I need to for sure return some more of those NB clothes. They were cute outfits but not a lot of cotton sleep n plays.

Now that I had my shower...questions about some returns
DS was 9 lbs. when he was born and didn't wear any NB stuff and went right into size 1 diapers as well. I would wait to see how big the baby is and then return all NB stuff if you have to. Personally, I would just use 0-3 months sleep & plays and not NB at all - you'll gt much more use out of them.
For regular white onsies, I had 8 of each size that I used. The 0-3 month ones I went through much quicker bc of spit up, accidental peeing while changing his diaper, etc...

I sterilized the bottles in boiling water before I used them the first time. Every time after, I wash with warm water and soap or in the dishwasher.

Now that I had my shower...questions about some returns
I know BRU only accepts returns for a certain amount of days....so I am afraid if I wait until the baby is here then it'll be too late to return anything. So it seems like I have much more returning to do
