DD with the same name as FB's friend's DD
This is such a silly situation but I know you girls can possibly relate 
A Facebook "friend" from high school (just an acquaintance from back in the day really, we never hung out) posted a comment that came up in my NewsFeed.
"I can't believe my first cousin named her daughter XX, same as my daughter. Ugh!"
I didn't realize she had a daughter, so I looked in her profile to see the name.
Keep in mind, DH and I are  but our DD name is the same as her DD. First and middle name! 
Now, I don't really care because, like I said, I never see the girl and her name had absolutely no impact on our choice.
That said, if this baby is a  , I'm thinking of un-friending her to avoid a total Facebook war.
Ridiculous, right?

If she's no one of any significance, I'd unfriend her. I wouldn't want her thinking I "stole" her name (although you clearly didn't). She sounds like she's obviously sensitive about this.

I would delete her too because I hate when people claim a name just because they picked it first! Maybe she's just annoyed because it's family. I think it's kind of weird to pick names that are very similar or the same within a family, but I would never hesitate to pick a name similar to a friend!

Not ridiculous... my thought process would be similar...I would worry she would put a similar comment up about me and I would see it in the newsfeed...A lot of people do not realize just how much shows up in that newsfeed

Who cares! I can see her having an issue with a cousin doing it but not just a FB friend. My DD has the same name as a FB friend who I know from here. We were pregnant at the same time and both discussed liking the name.

I wouldn't care. And I don't care - since I'm in a similar situation.
DH and I chose a name for our  a while ago. Then, I came across a couple I went to college with who have already named their son the same first and middle names. To me, I don't care. I don't associate with these people so it shouldn't matter.
If I were very close with them, I'd rethink our name choice.

One of DH's best friends named his son Nicholas and I have always planned on that name...I'm using it anyways!!!
ETA: Soince this is just an acquantance, I would either ignore the whole situation or i would send her a message, I just saw your daughters name! So funny thats that name we chose too!! Great minds think alike!

That must be me 
I feel the same way as others. Its not like its a name of a first cousin or a really good friends child. If its a and she says something tell her to beat it. She doesnt own that name.
