Oatmeal in bottle questions
My dd is on axid for pain. They didnt give her zantac because she isnt typical reluxy/colicky and it wouldnt do anything for her since its most likely not acid related. basically she spits up out of her nose almost every feeding. The Gastro told me to give her 1/2 tsp per oz (up to 3 tsp) in her bottle. She drinks 3 oz of alliumentum. I did this for a few days and it isn't helping.
How much oatmeal did your dc need before it worked for most spitting?
Also, what level dr browns did you use? I was using 3 but all of a sudden they aren't working and I haven't upped the oatmeal. I tried level 4 but she drinks the whole bottle in a minute then spits up most if not all of the bottle if I try giving her breaks and burp her in between. I'm hoping the extra oatmeal will help thicken it a bit.

Re: Oatmeal in bottle questions
I cant use rice because it might bind her. Is rice thinner?

It is a bit thinner, I put about a half ounce of prune juice with it to help.
