Outside Cushions
Do you keep them out all year long? Do you bring them in during the week in the summer?
Just asking b/c DH and I have some outside cushions for chairs. In the summer we keep them out on the weekends and during the week or if we know it's going to rain (or see it's raining) we bring them in. Of course we don't always remember to bring them in.
Today I went for a walk with DS and noticed a neighbor with beautiful outside furniture had all their cushions and outside pillows out. A few pieces of furniture. I was surprised bc I can tell it was pricey stuff and around their pool that was covered. We do put most of our outside furniture in a stored area covered under the deck and whatever we keep out is able to take the bad weather and stacked on the side.

Outside Cushions
We have a wicker bench on our covered porch that the previous owners left behind. I leave the cushion out all the time, but if it were new or expensive I might feel differently.

Re: Outside Cushions
We put ours in the attic during the winter. They stay outside rain or shine in the summer.

Re: Outside Cushions
We have an outdoor sectional and we keep it covered regularly and uncover it as you do. We store it in the winter.
It was pretty $$ and prolonged moisture like that will definiately cause it to mold.

Re: Outside Cushions
We have a ton of outdoor furniture from Restoration hardware
And a daybed just like this
If we have people over we put all the cushions out, yes its alot and takes a few minutes but it keeps them nice, we take them in after we are done, most times everyone takes a few in and we keep them in the mudroom closet. I can't imagine what they would look like outside all year long. We also cover the furniture with covers/tarps and put the cushions in the attic and cover them up there too.

Re: Outside Cushions
We have a plastic storage box/bench to keep our cushions. That way, they are very handy, since it's on the patio, but they are always dry and protected otherwise.

Re: Outside Cushions
we put our away for the winter but keep them out all summer long. We cover our "living room" set during the summer so it keeps the cushions dry.

Love that set. We're looking to get outside furniture like that for next season, but I like what you do too... Keep it covered and put it away. We do that as well to keep it clean and new looking.
